Low-radiation digital X-rays that help us diagnose problems you cannot see.
Dental X-rays are radiograph images that let us assess the health of your teeth, jaw position, and facial bone structure, and identify issues such as cavities and damaged teeth before they become visible.
What X-rays can reveal
- Abscesses and decay beneath existing fillings.
- Loss of jawbone and small areas of decay between teeth.
- Cysts and certain tumors, and changes in the root or bone from inflammation.
- In children: developing decay, room for new teeth, and developing wisdom teeth.
Are dental X-rays safe?
The amount of radiation is minimal. Modern equipment limits the beam to a small area, and protective aprons and strict safety standards further reduce exposure.
Before and after your X-rays
No special preparation is needed — just brush before your appointment. You sit with a lead apron over your lap and chest while images are captured, then we review the results with you and recommend treatment.
