An affordable, single-visit way to repair chips, cracks, gaps, and discoloration.
Dental bonding uses a tooth-colored composite resin to restore chipped, cracked, or discolored teeth. It is a cost-effective alternative to veneers and crowns, and most cases are finished in just 30 to 60 minutes.
When we recommend bonding
- Decayed, damaged, chipped, or cracked teeth.
- Improving the appearance of discolored teeth.
- Closing small gaps between teeth.
- Making teeth look longer or replacing old amalgam fillings.
- Protecting an exposed tooth root.
The procedure
We use a shade guide to match a composite resin to your teeth. After lightly roughening the surface and applying a conditioning liquid, we shape the resin onto the tooth and harden it with a special light, then trim and polish it to blend in naturally.
After-care
Brush twice daily with fluoride toothpaste and floss regularly. With good care, bonding can last 5 to 10 years.
