Comfortable removal of impacted or crowding wisdom teeth, with gentle sedation.

Wisdom teeth are the third molars at the very back of the mouth. When they are healthy and properly positioned, they may not need removal — but they often erupt at an angle, stay impacted, or only partially emerge, which can cause pain, infection, crowding, and cysts.

When removal is recommended

  • Teeth erupting at an angle that crowds neighboring teeth.
  • Impacted teeth trapped within the jaw, risking infection or cysts.
  • Partially erupted teeth that trap bacteria and lead to gum disease.

What happens during the procedure

We examine your mouth and take an X-ray, then provide sedation and numb the area for comfort. We remove the gum tissue (and any bone) covering the tooth, gently loosen it, and remove it, closing the area with stitches as needed.

After-care

Mild pain, swelling, and discomfort are normal. Use prescribed or over-the-counter pain relief and an ice pack, avoid hard foods, and do not smoke or drink alcohol while you heal. Most patients recover within 2 to 3 days. Call us if discomfort persists.
